1. Scope
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the mobile application "DopaSpeak" ("App") and the website dopaspeak.com ("Website"), provided by:

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
2. Service Description
DopaSpeak is a language learning app for Android based on the Natural Decoding Method. The App provides:
- Word-by-word decoding of texts and song lyrics
- On-device AI (Google Gemma) for local language processing
- Vocabulary trainer with spaced repetition
- Support for 20 languages
- Import of your own texts and music content
After the initial AI model download, the App decodes on the device. An internet connection is required for fetching song lyrics.
The App also offers AI-powered pronunciation training via your device's microphone. All audio processing happens entirely on your device.
3. User Account
There is none. DopaSpeak keeps no user accounts and requires no registration and no sign-in. Your learning progress stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. To remove it, uninstall the App or clear the App data in your device settings.
4. Pricing and Payment
4.1 How it works
The App is free. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase and no payment to us. For the AI you either supply your own access key from a provider of your choice, or you download the local model and pay nothing at all.
4.2 Third-party costs
If you use cloud mode, your AI provider's own pricing applies. Those costs arise between you and that provider. We are not a party to it and have no access to your payment details.
5. Term and Ending Use
There is nothing to cancel. Without a subscription no period runs and nothing renews. You end your use by uninstalling the App.
6. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
The App is free to use. You pay us nothing and no paid contract is concluded, so there is nothing to withdraw from and no payment that could be refunded.
You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. If you ever do pay us for something, the statutory right of withdrawal for consumers applies to that contract and we will inform you about it separately beforehand.
7. License and Usage Rights
You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to use the App for personal purposes on your own devices.
You may not decompile, reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the App or parts thereof, except as expressly permitted by law.
8. Availability and Warranty
We strive to keep the App error-free and available at all times. Since decoding runs on the device after the model download, availability is generally not dependent on an internet connection.
We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes. The effectiveness of language learning depends on individual factors such as study time, motivation, and prior knowledge.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SCAFA INVESTMENTS LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the App. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health, or any liability that cannot be limited by law in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms with reasonable notice. Changes will be announced in the App and published on this page. Since we keep no user accounts, we have no email address for you. If you do not object within 30 days, the updated Terms are deemed accepted.
11. Governing Law
For consumers within the EU, the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply. Otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA.
For disputes with businesses, the exclusive venue is Miami-Dade County, Florida, USA.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
